I’ve always been a bit of a foodie. My mom would encourage me to tinker around the kitchen as a child. In fact, I created my first recipe when I was 5 years old. I served up graham crackers and applesauce with a sprinkling of cinnamon to my little brothers like they

Naturally, it made sense that I would focus my creativity on gluten-free and sugar-free recipes when I discovered that I was pre-diabetic and allergic to wheat. Not to worry though, no bland or cardboard textured gluten-free food here! In place of starchy flours, I use various nut flours (such as almond flour, coconut flour) because of their added protein and fiber. Instead of refined sugar I use either Stevia or organic agave as sweeteners given their much lower glycemic index.
In my house, food = love. Nothing says “I dig your haircut” like cherry cupcakes, nothing says “I wanna snuggle” like smoked Gouda mac and cheese, and nothing says “I’m sorry for scratching the car” like Vietnamese ginger beef. I cook for my family every day and thought this site would be a great way to share my love with everyone.
